About the Founder

Pastor Karen Davis has always had a passion for the Lord and sharing Jesus Christ with others. She first became a licensed Evangelist in 1997. She spent several years working in ministry until she became an Ordained Elder under the Leadership of Bishop Esther Davis. Newly ordained, Karen spent many nights in prayer to see the Lords path for her life. What started as a family Bible Study, soon became an Outreach Ministry as Karen opened her home to struggling members of her local community.

The Lord called Karen Davis to full-time ministry and in obedience she followed His call and formed Mount Olivet Ministry of Compassion and Deliverance to meet the growing spiritual needs of Sacramento, California.  Karen Davis currently holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Education. She also has her Masters in Christian Counseling and earned her Doctorate in Psychology/Counseling with Empowerment Theological Seminary. In addition to her work as the Pastor of Mount Olivet Ministry of Compassion and Deliverance, Karen also serves as an Instructor at Empowerment Theological Seminary where she helps shape the minds of the next generation of evangelist that will lead souls to Christ.

Our Vision

Mount Olivet Ministry of Compassion and Deliverance was created to encourage, equip and educate men and women for the Kingdom of God.  Our church strives to build up one another in love. Through prayer, preaching, and other religious outreach programs our church encourage each member to grow in strength, maturity, and perfection of character as described by Paul in Ephesians 4:11-16. Our Statement of Faith is as follows:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
  • We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
  • We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.
  • We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  • We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
  • We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.
  • We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by who’s indwelling a Christian is enabled to live a holy and separate

Let us all glorify God, the reason we all exist. This is the responsibility of every member in the body. We glorify God when we worship Him, when we praise Him, when we proclaim His Word, when we live His Word and when we spread His Word. This is best summed up by the Bible verse Ephesians 3:21 that says, “Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.”
